Our Beliefs

Core Beliefs

The Bible is inerrant, infallible and inspired.

There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Man is a unique and a direct creation of God as recorded in Genesis.

Man was created in innocence in God's image but voluntarily sinned and therefore all men are now sinners by nature and choice, utterly devoid of that righteousness required by the law and thus under just condemnation to an eternal punishment in hell.

Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice and all who repent and believe in Him are declared righteous.

Salvation is by grace (undeserved) and through faith (not by effort on our part) in Christ.

All who are truly born again are eternally secure in God's salvation.

Christ's return for His Church will be personal and premillenial.

All men will experience bodily resurrection, the unsaved to everlasting punishment, the saved to everlasting life.

Our Mission

We exist to glorify God by making fully devoted ambassadors for Christ

Our Method

We believe that is best done as each individual is involved in the following activities.

The Church Worshipping - We exist to celebrate God's presence

Individually, each member of our church is to live a life of worship. Corporately, we gather to express our love to God. Our Sunday morning service is the primary place that we gather corporately for the purpose of worship. The ordinances, prayer, study, giving, fellowship and music are all obedient expressions of worship as we seek to glorify, honor and enjoy God.Psalm 29:2, Psalm 96:1, Psalm 99:5, John 4:23-24, Acts 2:46-47, Rom. 12:1-2, Col. 1:15-23, Eph. 5:19

The Church Instructing - We exist to educate God's people.

We believe the Word of God is the absolute standard of truth and the chief guide for life. As a church we diligently strive to further individuals understanding and application of biblical truth. Expository preaching in our Worship Service and our Adult Bible Fellowship (Sunday School for children) are the primary times we meet together for corporate instruction. Beyond the regular services of the church, education takes place one-on-one, in small group Bible studies at church and in homes, and through self-study (each of us – personally learning and applying the Word).Acts 2:42, Eph. 4:11-13, 2 Tim. 2:2, 2 Tim. 3:16-17, Heb. 6:1, Heb. 10:25, 2 Peter 3:18

The Church Serving - We exist to demonstrate God's love.

We believe each member of our local body is a minister. Everyone is to be serving in an area or areas that God has gifted them. That is the way that we demonstrate God’s love to others, by meeting needs in the body of Christ. Opportunities to love through service are many. We have children’s ministries, music ministries, outreach ministries, teaching ministries, fellowship ministries, serving ministries, and many others. In fact, we do not limit our ministries. If God has burdened someone with an area to demonstrate God’s love, we as a church desire to equip them to accomplish their God-given goal.John 13:35, Rom. 12:1-8, 1 Cor. 12:4-5, 27, Eph. 4:11-13, I Pet. 4:10-11

The Church Reaching - We exist to communicate God's Word.

We believe that what is healthy will grow. Our purpose is not only to minister to the hungry believers who come into our church, but to reach the unchurched with the gospel. Believing we have the Good News, we each are committed to being obedient to God and sharing that Good News with our own sphere of influence. The Gospel can change the composition of the heart and the trajectory of the life.Acts 2:46-47, Acts 1:8, Rom. 1:16, Rom. 10:13-14

The Church Fellowshipping - We exist to connect to God's people.

The church is a body and it is a family. Central to our mission is the need for the body to connect with each other in fellowship. There are over 30 "One Another" commands in the New Testament that we are to obey. Relationships are crucial to us being a biblical church. We believe that a certain level of spiritual maturing can only be obtained through small communities functioning biblically. We believe each person should be involved in some type of small group that strives to assist each other in living out our five purposes.Eccl. 4:9-12, Rom. 12:10,16, Rom. 15:14, 1 Cor. 12:25, Gal. 5:13,15,26, Gal. 6:2, Eph. 4:32, Eph. 5:21.
